This release candidate fixes bugs found the beta. Unlike the alphas and the beta, the release candidate saves its profiles into PrusaSlicer directory, which is the same directory where the previous releases of PrusaSlicer keep their profiles.
If you were testing the PrusaSlicer 2. In the PrusaSlicer 2. Starting with PrusaSlicer 2. See the following discussion comment why we made such a change. To use Print or Filament profiles derived from Prusa3D system profiles together with your user Print profile, you now have to detach these Print or Filament profiles from Prusa3D system profiles by removing the "inherits" field from the respective profile.
We plan to add a "detach" button to the final release. When the Printer profile derived from the Prusa3D system profile was active or a system Prusa3D profile was active, and when the Print profile with the removed "inherits" field was active or any other profile derived from the "-- default --" profile was activethen the filament selector offered just the profiles with the removed "inherits" field or any other profile derived from the "-- default--" profile.
This behavior has been now changed, so that in this scenario the Filament selector will offer the Prusa3D vendor profiles compatible with the active Print and Printer profile as well as the user profiles see this discussion and When "Show incompatible print and filament presets" is enabled in preferences, PrusaSlicer allows showing incompatible presets at their respective parameter tabs by toggling the "Green flag" icon at the preset tab to a "Red flag".
We implemented this feature mainly to help us debugging the profile print and filament compatibility conditions, however some of our users learned to use this feature to work around profile compatibility issues. It was not possible to select an incompatible Print profile with the "Red flag" enabled, which is possible now Slicer was also changed to keep an incompatible preset selected at its respective tab if its respective "Red flag" is enabled.PrusaSlicer is a feature-rich, frequently updated tool that contains everything you need to export the perfect print files for your Original Prusa 3D printer.

More printer profiles for printers other than Prusa. I own a Mk. Why not create and save your own? I have a modified direct drive cr10s as well as my i3 and I use PrusaSlicer for both. Just because there aren't prebuilt ones doesn't mean you can not do it. Go the forum and start a thread asking if anyone is willing to share any they have already and I'll post a copy of mine and maybe others who have them will post up too.
Also I believe there are various CR10 groups that you could ask if anyone has a slicer profile. But my printer has its own tweaks which are not even covered by standard gcode see my Prusa profile for Cetus which I would never expect to be covered in Prusa Slicer. If any effort is to be spent on this, it should be to make it easier for users to get automatic updates for other profiles.
There's now this vendor presets thing, but I cannot figure out how I could submit for instance my profiles into it. We are planning to support 3rd party profiles the same way Cura does, but it will take us some time to tune up the process of accepting the 3rd party profiles, testing them etc.
That would seriously save people time when switching back and forth to different printers. You can import those default printer settings from existing Marlin example config files that have already been tested to death. Since the default print speed settings are also in there it could be used to optimize print time estimates as well. I was about to make a feature request to be able to import profiles from the other major slicers but it looks like adding my opinion here would amount to the same.
Please add a feature which would allow importing my active profiles from at least Cura and Simplify3D. If they don't quite transpose, make it a wizard and ask the user to solve issues.
PrusaSlicer doesn't wait the nozzle warmup to end before start printing
I see there are commits for profile for Ender3, are we going to see support for Ender5 and Ender5 plus also? I was wondering about CR10S as well. Ender 3 is already in the rc4 and CR10S or similar isn't that different. We use optional third-party analytics cookies to understand how you use GitHub. Learn more. Skip to content.Good morning, I've start to use PS since few months not with a Prusa printer and I have to say that I'm very happy about it! I've noticed just one issue with maybe could be my fault: PS seems to write the GCODEs without the needed pause for the hotend warmup, it warms the hot bed, he starts to warm up the hotend but in the same time it starts tha ABL procedure Look in Startup G-Code for the settings; I suspect whatever you are doing you haven't set those strings properly.
And no, I can't help you unless you are using a Prusa MK3 printer as I have no clue for other brands and models. Hey Andreaa Did you ever get this to work?Slic3r PE: Loading and Saving Profiles
I have the exact same issue and I'm getting nowhere! This start and end code has been tweaked for Prusa Printers naturally. When you add a custom printer those sections are left blank as it has no idea what the custom printer requires when it comes to start up gcode. You have to add that yourself manually. Actually with the latest alpha version Prusa have started to add support for other printers into the configuration wizard.
Just an Ender 3 at the moment but the list will grow and the profiles are user submitted I think. However until then I have attached one from my cr10s. Its tweaked to start up in the way I want so you may need to modify it but its a start for you. Download, rename to remove the. That should add a new printer profile to your list and you can have a look at the start and end gcode and copy it to your own profile if you want.
Thanks for all your help - I was able to make my startup code work the way I needed for my CRs. In fact if you set them there then the slicer should take them into account when doing its print time estimates too. Our newest member: alex. I like your comments - they allow me to understand what the structure is in this code. Reading the G-Code online doc is fine, but multiple commands together gives a better view of it.
